THE COUNCIL OF AUTISM SERVICE PROVIDERS | AUTISM EDUCATION

Combatting stigma, misinformation and parental paralysis.

One in 31 children in the US are currently diagnosed with autism, which leaves a legion of worried parents in desperate search of what to do next. Complicating that search, myths and misperceptions about autism and its treatment run rampant on the internet. This delays treatment, fuels stigma and brutalizes families. To help CASP cut through that noise and share the truths of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a leading autism intervention, we built a national online platform where parents, providers and autism experts engage in candid conversations.

TheSpectrum.org is a credible, unbiased resource hub for parents at the critical moment of diagnosis. It leverages unscripted conversations between parents and providers, evidence-based treatment research, downloadable tools for informed decision making, and access to Board Certified Behavior Analysts® to deliver the answers parents need.

Real parents in unscripted discussion with real experts. That’s the centerpiece of the site that helps viewers get to the unvarnished truth on 11 different topics from early intervention to treatment missteps.

We’re using myriad communications vehicles to share TheSpectrum.org. YouTube ads with conversation excerpts drive site traffic, while digital display and social campaigns insert thespectrum.org into the ever-present dialogue online.

Earned editorial placement directs readers to the online forum.
